In view of YB Datuk's devotion to the ideal of goodwill, peace and as well as his substantial contributions to humanitarian and educational activities, YB Datuk has been designated by the Rotary Club of Kuching Central to receive the recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow.
YB Datuk Wong Soon Koh has established himself not only as an outstanding Politician, but has continued to play an active role in many voluntary and educational organizations such as being the Treasurer of the Sibu Kidney Foundation, Chairman of Sarawak United College (which helps to promote and bring affordable, quality education to the doorsteps of the people in Sarawak), Honorable Advisor to Sibu Life Care Society, Advisor to Sarawak Chiang Hsia Huang Clan Association, President of Sibu Tang-So-Do Association and Vice-President of Sarawak Amateur Swimming Association,
