On the 4th
May - 1st June 2002, a Group Study Exchange team, headed by PP.
Polycarp of Kuching Central went to England. PP. Polycarp was
in charge of Robin Chin, aged 29, married and a Tourist
Assistant with Sabah Tourist Promotion Corporation. He has
been with the corporation for 8 years and has been involved
with various tourism activities. Robin is an outgoing person
who likes to sing, dance and participate in anything 'positive
and fun'.

Tham aged 32 and is single. A teacher with 8 years experience
in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. She is the Head of English panel,
English Language teacher and Teacher Advisor. She holds a
Diploma in Education and a Bed (Hon) from the University Putra
Malaysia. She speaks English, Mandarin and Malay.
Zuleika is 32 and single. She is an English lecturer at the
AMC College, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. She holds a diploma in
computer studies and an Advance in Pitman ESOL. Zuleika excels
in cooking, especially curries. She is a good organiser and is
the College Social Activities Director.
Benjamin Benedict is 30 years old, single and a Trainer with
Outward Bound School, Sabah. Benjamin is a graduate from the
University of Technology, Malaysia with a BSc in Education
(Hon). He speaks English, Malay and Kadazan. Benjamin is
talented in outdoor activities, a good leader, motivator and
trainer. He is a sportsman and good team player.
The team had the opportunity to engage in discussions and
gained much knowledge from the vocational and cultural
experience. They met diverse and interesting people, in
particular Rotarians from the district making some good
friends.
The team felt that they have taken part in a lot of activities
during the trip due to the great effort and input by the
Rotary Clubs involved in the exchange.
In thirty days the team met Rotary Clubs in District 1250.
During that time the team gave at least 10-30 minutes slide
presentations and several traditional songs and dance
presentations. Met a large number of vocational visits and
spoke to about 200 Rotarians in group of four to one hundred.
Made numerous cultural, historical and vocational visit.
The team had the opportunity to engage in discussions and
gained particular Rotarians from the district making some good
friends.

The team felt that they have taken part in a lot of activities
during the trip due to the great effort and input by the
Rotary Clubs involved in the exchange.
Generally, Rotarians in District 1250 have been kind and
generous, far exceeding the teams expectations.
