There was a pre-event
fellowship dinner on the evening of 4th August 2006.
The seminar itself was held from 9am to 5pm on 5th Aug.
2006 and from 9am to 12.30pm on 6th Aug. 2006.
The kickoff of the event
was held in one room and thereafter the attendees were
almost equally divided into two groups. Each group was
placed in a separate room: PRID David Linett and PDG
Andrew Cheng facilitated one group while PDG Frank Wargo
and PDG Leon Horwitz facilitated the other group.
Attendees were trained
on how to be an effective facilitator. Many different
facilitating techniques were presented to the attendees
with opportunity for each attendee to do role play. It
was definitely a week-end of fun and learning with much
experiences being shared and ideas exchanged. ‘Graduates’
of this Faculty Orientation Program are encouraged to
organise similar seminar at the region in District 3310.
