JULY 1990 01   07   14   16   20   21   28   Participated in Open House Sales at School for Mentally Retarded Children.   1st Luncheon Meeting. President attended Lions Metro Installation.   5th Installation Night. Guest of Honour, Y.B. Song Swee Guan Datuk Bandar Kuching Selatan.   1st Board of Directors meeting held at President's residence.   1st Club Assembly meeting attended by D.G. John Cheah followed by Fellowship Dinner and Ladies Night at East Park Restaurant. D.G. Ann Doreen was also in attendance.   D.G. John Cheah and Ann accompanied by Rotarians of Kuching Central made a courtesy call on Mayor Song Swee Guan.   An EGM was held. The meeting decided to adopt the R.I. Resolution to admit lady member into Rotary Club.   Rotarians attended Tun Abang Haji Openg Interact Club Installation Night.   AUGUST 1990 04   11   18       25 Luncheon meetiing.   Luncheon meeting.   Club donated RM200 to a boy who had a hole in the heart and to be sent to Kuala Lumpur for operation. In addition, members further donated a total of RM590.   Video show on "Mulu - A Forest in Borneo".   2nd BOD meeting held at President-Elect Rtn Odita's residence.   Talk on "English Language" by Mdm Lucy Abey, a lecturer from MARA Institute.   SEPTEMBER 1990 01 08 15 22 23 29 Talk on "Unit Trust" by Mr. Bobby Chai of Kuala Lumpur Mutual Fund. Participated tree planting at Bintawa Industrial Estate organised by the Kuching City South. Discussion on "Preserve Planet Earth" attended by Mr. Lee Choon Ming from Ministry of Environment. Club received a one star emblem Award under 89/90 Presidential Citation Program from District Governor. Luncheon meeting. Interact, Rotaract, Rotary Telematch at St. Joseph's School. Vocational Service Project - applicants for the Keppel Shipyard Traineeship interviewed by the shipyard representative at Hotel Holiday Inn.   OCTOBER 1990 06   13   20   27 Vocational Service organised a Talk on Import/Export Banking Document and Marine Cargo Insurance. 60 participants from the business attended. Presented by Mr. David Leong, Assistant Marketing Manager from Hongkong Shanghai Bank and Rtn Patrick Yu, Manager, East Malaysia of Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance.   2nd EGM meeting.   Talk on "Mental Illness" by Dr. Yap.   4th BOD meeting held at Hon. Secretary Dr. Samuel's residence. NOVEMBER 1990 02   03   10   17   24 House cleaning activity at the Home for the Aged together with members of the Interact Clubs.   Luncheon meeting attended by visiting Rotarians PP R.A. Cooper research for World Community Service and T.A. Cook PDG of District 946, Frank Keays PDG of District 947, accompanied by Kuching Club President Joseph Lim.   Talk on "Hand Made Paper" by Ms. Teo Gian Keng from Department of Agriculture.   Talk on "Money Market Investment" by Jeff Wong.   Induction of new Rotarian Bobby Chai.   Club fellowship night.   DECEMBER 1990 01   04   08   09   15   22   24   29 Talk on "Crimes" by Encik Ghazali Yacub, Commissioner of Police.   5th BOD meeting held at Telang Usan Hotel hosted by Hon. Treasurer Rtn Zainal.   Luncheon meeting.   Rotarians participated at the Hilton Christmas Charity Bazaar Sales.   AGM for year 1989/1990 cum 2nd Club Assembly Meeting and Election of new BOD for year 1991/1992.   Celebrated Club's Anniversary Day.   Donated a Karaoke set to Home for the Aged.   Induction of new Rotarians Chin Chia Chau and Patrick Luk.
