DONATION BY WAY OF OPEN HOUSE SALE TO CHARITABLE ORGANISATION

     1.   Salvation Army Open Day Sales - 1st September 1997
           
The Club members assisted in selling RM1,500.00 worth of tickets for the open day sales. The Club operated a Nasi Lemak Store and collected RM945.00 from the said sale and all the proceeds were donated to the Salvation Army.

     2.   The Blind Centre Open Day Sales - 19th October 1997
          Again the Club members generously sponsored and prepaid various ingredients for the said sale. As in the Salvation Army Open Day Sales all the food ingredients are donated by the Club members. Thereafter the proceeds were donated to the Centre.

DONATIONS

     1.   Donation to Miri School
          A donation of RM6,000.00 for the improvement of a Primary School at Niah - Miri Sekolah Rendah Kerajaan (SRK) Mentali - A year project benefiting at least 500 rural students.

     2.   Donation To Miss Quiencedella Ines
          In September 1997, our Community Service Director PP. Chieng Lee Ching collected RM1,000.00 cash from Rotarians of our Club to assist in meeting the operation cost of an eight (8) year old girl from Bau. The little school girl injured her right eye and was blind. After the said operation, the girl regained her sight. 

     3.   Donation To Fire Victims In Sabah
           
In August 1997, responding to the call by IPDG. Datuk George Ginibun and all Rotary Clubs in Sabah, the Club donated RM1,000.00 to help the fire victims in the Likas Bay - area of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where more than one thousand people were made homeless with most of their belonging burnt.
