VISIT TO OLD FOLKS HOME On the morning of 10th January 1998, the Rotary Club of Kuching Central organised a visit to Rumah Seri Kamajuan to meet the old folks.

Rotarians & spouses, and interactors at the old folks home. Arrangement was also made for the Interactors to join us in the said projects. The Club, President and spouse together with Rotarians and Interactors from the Interact Club of Kuching High and Bandar Kuching No. 1 made donations of AngPow and/or Duit Raya and fruits personally to each and individual folks and sat to chat with them. The said community project is in fact one of the regular project that is implemented by the Club.

THE LAUNCHING OF "TOYBANK" - A COMMUNITY PROJECT On the 14th of January 1998, an interesting project was launched and is called "A Toybank" project. The project is jointly carried by Rotary Club of Kuching Central, M/s HongKong Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and M/s Ngui Kee, a departmental store managed by our Club member Rotarian IPP. Philip Tang.

The aim of the project is aimed to to collect used toys across the state of Sarawak for donation to the under privileged children. Any members of the public are ancouraged to bring used toys to any branch of the bank and eleven Ngui Kee Departmental Store outlet throughout Sarawak. The toys collected are then cleaned or mended (if broken) and then repacked for
