MOTIVATIONAL TALK BY GERALD BRADLEY

On the 4th of October 1997, the Vocational Service Director in observing the Vocational Month (of October) arranged for a talk by Mr. Gerald Bradley, a well known motivational speaker. Mr. Bradley and spouse Margaret presented a talk on "Personal Development and Positive Thinking" for the Rotarians and spouses at no fee.

The talk was on how to program the subconscious part of the brain with a view of conditioning or programming the brain into a particular mindset.

In particular, the speaker made the

audience aware that the subconscious part of the brain often demonstrates the "I Can't" type of attitude vs. the conscious part which displayed "I Can't" attitude.

Thus overcoming the subconscious part of the brain/or mind will make a particular person a different person.

VISIT TO WORK PLACE

The Vocational Service Director has also make arrangements for interactors to visit Rotarians at their work place.

Interactors visiting the High Court

An Example
To give an example, on the 29th November 1997 about 15 interactors visited the High Court Registry and attended a trial under the guidance of the President Rtn. K.C. Wong. The students were shown and explained as to how the court system in Kuching works. The interactors were also invited to visit the place of work of the said Rotarian to observe the working environment of the Rotarian.
