ACHIEVED AN 18% GROWTH IN MEMBERSHIP - NO LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP

There has been no loss in membership. Furthermore there is also an increase of 18% in the classification of our Club.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO KUCHING FROM 25.8.1997 TO 30.8.1997

The Club Service Director worked oout a programme in conjunction with the District Governor's Visit.

A Chairman was appointed to oversee the proper running and co-ordinations of the said visit.

A fellowship dinner for all Rotarians and spouses (jointly with our daughter Club - Rotary Club of Kuching South) was held at Rtn. Stuart McLaren's house on the 29th of August 1997.

The programme of the Club was sent to the other (3) clubs and the District Governor Representative for approval to ensure there was no clash in the programme.

Arrangement made
1.   For a Courtesy Call on the Ministry of infrastructure and Development Datuk Wong 

      Soon Koh.
2.   For all interactors and Rotarians Sessions with the District Governor.
3.   A Club Assembly with the District Governor.


WEEKLY CLUB MEETING

1.   Our Club weekly meeting registered at least a 65% and above attendance. Thus for there are twelve 100 percenters. (The figure excludes newly inducted members).

2.   Weekly speakers are arranged for the meeting. Guests are given visitor cards whereas visiting Rotarians are presented with Make-up Card with the 4 Way-Test printed at the back of the said Card. 

3.   The 1st week of each calender is designated as the Spouse Week. Rotarians must bring their spouse to the said meeting, failing which the said Rotarians would be fined.

A WEEKEND RETREAT FOR ALL ROTARIANS

Our Club Service Director arranged a trip for all Rotarians and family to Damai Beach from 29th November 1997 to 30th November 1997. The trip was full of fun and enjoyment.

There were a Sand Castle Competition as well as Volleyball Competition which all the Rotarians and family enjoyed. A Treasure Hunt was also organised.
