A Training Seminar was held for 28 Interactors on
management of Interact Club.

Rotary clubs around the
world are dedicated to help young people develop their
leadership skills to the fullest. To achieve this
goal, Rotarians offer RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership
Awards), a leadership training program open to qualify
young people between the ages of 18 and 30.
|
Objectives:
- To further
demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for
youth.
- To encourage and
assist selected youth leaders and potential
leaders in methods of responsible and effective
voluntary youth leadership by providing them with
a training experience.
- To encourage
continued and stronger leadership.
- To publicly
recognize the high qualities of many young people
who are rendering service to communities as youth
leaders.

Rotary
Youth Leadership Award training camp 26th-28th May
2000 at Kem Belia Pueh, Sematan. A total of 130
participants attended this event. They were from
Singapore, Johore, Sabah and also there were 9 Rotary
Youth Exchange (RYE) students from Mexico, Brazil,
Japan and India.
